Furr Family Enjoying Life's Wow Moments

zMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC has turned into the place that life's wow moments
happen for Michelle Furr and her family.  Michelle is excited to return as the
defending champion of the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals event this weekend,
having won Super Comp and coming close to a rare double-up win, with a runner-up
finish in Super Street at last year's event.  Furr then returned in the Spring to
capture her second straight Wally for back to back wins at the facility at the
NHRA 4 Wide Nationals.  It was only two weeks later that her daughter, Madilyn
hoisted a trophy on stage after winning the Jr Dragster category at the track's
first bracket points race.  Madilyn was on stage yet again at the next
event, celebrating a runner-up finish.  Madilyn and her brother, Adiayn both earned
spots to represent zMax Dragway at the NHRA JR Dragster conference finals in
Bristol, TN.  Adiayn went the most rounds of any competitor for zMax Dragway at
the conference, going to the 4th round of competition in the 8-9 year old class,
losing with a .002 redlight start.  "I couldn't be more proud of the kids and
Michelle" said dad, Rick Furr.
With four events and five finals for the Furr family, could a threepeat be possible
for Michelle at the track some have named "their house"?  "I'm going to Charlotte
knowing I can do it but respecting how hard it is to accomplish." said Furr.  "I
feel we have nothing to lose, so we'll take it one round at a time and give it all
we have.  I know we have worked hard to accomplish where we are and you never know
when you'll be here again so we are celebrating every round win this past  year.
I'm so thankful to Rick and some of the best companies in the business, like Ohio
Crankshaft, Quick Fuel, Moser, K & N and so many more that work together to build
cars I know are capable of winning."
Michelle is cautiously taking a look at NHRA's Southeast Division 2 points after
a late start with the first Jeg's All Star event at Atlanta Dragway in June, where
she won Super Street and came close to yet another double-up win with a semi finish
in Super Comp.  With Super Street not being contested at the O'Reilly Auto Parts
Nationals, Michelle will be competing in both the Super Comp and Super Gas
categories at this weekends event.
